1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
So since the beginning of 2005, I have been collecting what I thought were interesting quotes from some of the post’s I have read here on the forum. All though there were tons more I specifically excluded them as I did not want to seam as if I was picking on one specific member (Hint “Put the lotion in the basket“ )

Here is the collection of them, now with out using the search engines see if you remember who posted it and what the post was.

======

“Besides I don't have allot of parts left anymore"
"Yeah, someone else took it apart alright -- a young man! "

“It is not like we are butchering good restorable cars”

”The only traction control I will need, are under the
sole's of both my feet.”

”If fibreglass is the passion of the hobby, then friends are the soul enriching bonding agent that holds it all together”

“Maybe it's an urban look that I just don't understand”

“Your shop is too clean - are you sure you actually do any work in there...?”

He'll be trading in his Legos for resto project in a few years

Man...there were lighting bolts all over my hands jumping to ground and using me for ground!!!

You're safe again America. The Canucks are home. I'm gone to collapse.

======

Good luck

Now I have to say I frequent some other forums,Not just car related and this one is absolutely the best.

You guys are the greatest and still think I of all the fun i had with you guys at carlilse and look foward to meeting again in person. I can honestly say you guys are my freinds. As a matter of fact I just got off the phone with one of the canucks who was taking the time to wish my family a happy new year.

So enjoy the new year every one, set your New Year resolutions High and I hope you are able to surpass them

“Maybe it's an urban look that I just don't understand”

“Your shop is too clean - are you sure you actually do any work in there...?” must be referring to either JohnZ or John McGraws shops

i KNOW this was Mark (VNV) referring to when his oil pressure line electrified during his 502BB first fire

:w Happy New Year.

"Quotes" can be fun :) . A number of years ago when I was the Chief Engineer - Advance Process Development for Chrysler and we were building the first of the new '92 "LH" Cab-Forward cars (Intrepid, LHS, etc.), I was being interviewed by "Automotive News" (major weekly trade journal in the car biz) about the major advances we'd made for those models in precision stampings and body-in-white assembly/welding tooling and dimensional control and what those improvements meant to finished vehicle quality.
The reporter asked me why that was important, as you couldn't see those things when the car was all put together, and I said, "I don't care what you screw on it in Final Assembly, you can't chrome-plate a pig". When the article was published, that quote was in big, bold type enclosed in a bordered box next to a photo of me pointing to a raw body shell, and I never heard the end of it. My Chrysler guys loved it, but the competition didn't appreciate it at all. :D

I must give credit, where credit is due.

The quote ”If fiberglass is the passion of the hobby, then friends are the soul enriching bonding agent that holds it all together” was not mine, but rather from fuelie ( Brian ).

If my memory is correct in his original statement, he use the word " Glue " rather then " bonding " so I recommended that he use the words " bonding adhesive " in my response to his post, so that is the only thing I should be receiving credit for.

Happy New Years to all the Forum members, plus to those who just visit occasionally

Stepinwolf

Hey............

”The only traction control I will need, are under the
sole's of both my feet.” Lou (Rowdy1)
I resemble that remark. Gee, a smilie named after me, now I'm famous for one of my "intelligent" comments;LOL I may have to get some kind of title around here if this stuff keeps up. No wise cracks from the peanut gallery now!!!

I save all my best quotable work for the Edge... but I'll wish the very best New Year to you all in 2006!!

-Mac
