Lets do it !!!it will raise the cars status ,also after searching for another one for 2 years it appears 80% of the cars for sale no one has any history on what a shame it took the Shelby club of America only a few years to put together a system that works look what those old mustangs are worth today!! and they have no where near the overall performance of these cars

1. where do we start
2. there wasjust a very nice article in this months corvette magazine maybe we can get Car Collector to do an article too
3. get NADA to value the convertable callaway as well as coupe these cars are rarer then the Hemi cars( and no one wanted them at one time )
4. major magazine article on Ritchie and his 4 callaway purchase what are his thought on the cars appreciation they will carry into our cars for sure
5. should we share our love for tt's with the lLingenfellter collectors??
6. " callaway for sale B2K rarer then a Shelby $150k " we can see this within 5 years
7. i don't like an automatic, someone save that black on on ebay how much was that car new

There is already an official registry at Callaway Cars They have all the information on the cars. There is no reason to start another registry Just call Joanne Mercer at Callaway Cars she will help you out with whatever you need.

As Callaway4Fun mentioned, Joanne Mercer has complete information on any Callaway Car that one might be considering for purchase however, that information by policy is NOT put out to the public.

As far as a registry, Where have you been??

The way things are set up, it's done so with approval complete support from Callaway Cars - it is support that is greatly appreciated and works.

The past few years have been extremely exciting for owners of Callaway Vettes! :eek
In 2001/2002 there was much discussion on how to approach many of the things you mention and it was through the formation of the Callaway Owners Group that we had the "Callaway Reunion" at Carlisle in 2002 with the cars recognized BIG TIME at the show :)

From that show which was supported greatly by Reeves Callaway and his team from Old Lyme came more recognition for the cars through a few owners cars featured in magazines, etc.

2003, we returned to Carlisle again after a strong year - Cars values seem to have held and in some cases, asking prices may have even been greater than before :confused

2003, I put out the word to Owners interested and who could commit to attending Bloomington Gold for the once in a lifetime Special Collection - What a show it would become!!!!!!!

2004 - Barrett-Jackson Auction = Callaway coverage
Again, every major player in the media world was there and had something to say about the four Callaways bought up in the main event - Other B2K's were there and got attention as a result :upthumbs

2004 - Bloomington Gold Special Collection XX
30 + Callaways at Bloomington, 23 in the Ballroom featured as part of the Special Collection XX - What an honor!
It was THE Callaway weekend

More auctioned Callaways at Bloomington - bringing MORE money than at Barrett-Jackson-

Magazines - Ohh Magazines :upthumbs

EVERY major magazine has had something to say about the cars over the past few years, after stepping away largely for years.
The Magazines ARE writing about the cars in a big way-

Case in point, just this month, the three "Big Boys" in the Corvette mag. business have something on the stands that is Callaway related...

Corvette Enthusiast has initial coverage on the Carlisle Callaway C6 (C cubed 6) as does Vette Magazine. Corvette Fever features Steve O's B2K - Shot when he brought the car to the Bloomington Gold event, it was a treat to see his Quasar Blue Aero coupe there and now again in print.

Corvette Enthusiast Magazine has had a Callaway related story in about every other issue this ENTIRE year :)
Everything from the Final Speedster, to the Barrett-Jackson auction coverage, Bloomington Gold, Carlisle, C5 Power groups - and a second C5 Power Group update, 88 Anniv. story (300 mi B2k), Owners Stories - as told by them, C-3-6 article and more to come!

Mr. Berry was already featured w/ his car collection in Celebrity Car Magazine, he has quite a collection indeed.

re: NADA - they should recognize the cars and may in time;shrug
In the meantime, a value guide is published by CPI, Cars of Particular interest
http://www.cpivalueguide.com and they have recognized the cars for years.

2005 is sure to be another great year - feel free to participate in any events that you see or hear about - especially Carlisle as it is close to NY for you to bring your car.

Enjoy! :m

Thank You for bringing me up to speed I just ordered mag subscriptions so i can catch up with some reading An exciting time to be a callaway owner
