1990 corvette convertible
Hi all and this is my first post to this forum with a question..here goes...I have a 1990 corvette convertible and just changed the dreaded c4 intakegaskets and while i was in there i put new bosch gen3 fuel injectors in also but upon trial run ( down the road and back 1/4 mile tops) i noticed a little smoke from under the car.I popped the hood and finally determined that oil was coming from the dipstick and the engine was warmer than usual. Then i checked the coolant and it was a brown frothy look to it.the car has never done this before and surely with the car setting for 3 weeks during the gasket and injectors change period something has happened.I immediately pullled the intake to see if i put a gasket on backwards or hopefully to find out something was a miss but i didn't.I have flushed the coolant and it does look better but the car starts a lot harder than before(use to start right up but now cranks a while before it starts) i did the change. All symptoms point to a blown head gasket or rings also i changed the pcv valve immediatly but to no avail did it help.Im open to any or all suggestions on this one and would greatly appreciate them..Thanks Billydee

All symptoms point to a blown head gasket
Get the coolant system pressure tested to determine on way or the other

determined that oil was coming from the dipstick i changed the pcv valve
Are the CCV /PCV hoses hooked up correctly so there is airflow through the crankcase ?
