Whats going on , both readings stay on low no matter how hot or how long the car has been running. What do I need to do to fix this. Is this a common problem on a 96 C4?

Oil Temp

Hey Bob ... I am having the same problem with my 85. The oil temp always reads LO.
Thinking I might just change the sensor one of these days.
Anyone with any other suggestions???

:w

Disconnect the oil temp sensor wire by the oil filter. Ground it. Turn the ignition switch to on but do not start the car. The gauge should now read 330. If it does not replace the sensor it is bad. It the gauge still reads low, you have a break in the line somewhere from the sensor to the dash. I'm betting it's the sensor.

Good Luck :Beer
