Any ordinary 10W30 or 10W40 will work just fine as per your owners manual.

Don't be fooled by the marketing crap that tries to convince you that you need or will 'benefit' from special/synthetic oils.

Synthetic is better on the moving parts, I hear, but it also seems to find those smaller holes that mineral oil never found. Synthetic is just smaller grained molecules I think. I'm sure the "normal stuff" is fine.

Hib Halverson said on the pre 1984 cars or so, not to run synthetic oils due to the gasket material, and that the synthetic would cause more harm then good. I have always had good luck with Castrol Motor Oil. That is what I run in my Escort. If I were you I would run 10w30. Hope this helps.

I go with a 10w30 too. Buy a proper brand rather some private label stuff and change it regularily, that's the key thing.

Castrol!

I recommend Castrol 10w30 as it is better to use non-synthetic in older cars, and Castrol should be readily available to you there in France. 10w-30 will also be compatible year round with your weather conditions.
