hello all,
can anyone please confirm if any original mid-year jacks came with fine threaded rods. I believe that i have once read that all type 1, 2 & 3 jacks had the course threads. My 63 jack has what i consider course threads approx. 6 threads/inch. Did any jacks come with the finer threads or 11 threads/inch. thanks

the finer threads are on the 67. I can go to the garage tomorrow and tell you exactly.
Sounds like you have either a cheap repop or a mustang jack.

a cheap repop or a mustang jack - i dont think so. take a look at Noland Adams book - all of the pictured jacks have course threads (6 per inch) I believe all 63-67 should have course - but i wanted to confirm this.

But my car is my garage and I'm at work for another 5 hours, and I'll check my original dated jack then.

My original April 67 jack has the number of threads you described.
