Looks like they're really the third oldest, unless they don't consider the dealership (1915) in Canada to be part of the world.3TT3V said:...and the 2nd oldest in the world = www.bellmotor.com . It's kinda weird visiting there because a number of grandsons work there and everytime you go into a different department; you think that you have already seen the Dept head at the previous one ! Anybody been there?
Send them the link to Fred Clark's CHEVROLET in Canada. They never turned back their franchise either. They began selling Chevrolets in 1915.3TT3V said:After the 3rd inquiry , I finally received a reply from Bell Motor on this subject....I had entitled the 3rd inquiry "New Red Corvette" just to get their attention!
Here's what the Sales Mgr had to say....Bell began in 1923 as a Chevrolet Dealer and continued to do so even during WW2 when there were no cars or trucks available to sell due to the war effort. We never turned back our franchise to GM, so we are the 2nd oldest Chevrolet Dealer in continious service. Hutchens Chevrolet claims to be the oldest according to GM. As for Fred Clark, they are a GMC dealer, not a Chevrolet dealer.
and I say " yeah, right" 67 Heaven....what say you?
