I have a '01 C5 with a HUD display that appears to be going opaque :( . The clear plastic cover over the display is fogging up like it does with plastic headlamps on other older cars. Has anyone else seen this happen on their HUDs? Or could it have been the previous owner using the wrong cleaner on it? What would be the best thing to use to clean/polish the plastic cover of the display to it's original crystal clear condition?

Armorall and similar products used on the dash will react with the cluster plastic lenses.
If that's your situation, then the lens will have to be replaced, as it cannot be "cleaned".

The only thing I used (once) was Armorall's glass cleaning wipes which I'm guessing would be OK on the plastic lens, as well as glass. Does anyone have product suggestions that would clear up plastic lens?

C4C5Specialist may have some suggestions on techniques for cleaning the lens on the HUD. Here's hoping you can clean it without having to replace it.
