Having no problem with the OptiSpark on my 96 LT1 coupe with 53k miles.
But, would it do me good to pick up a spare one?
Ask because a buddy of mine just pulled his from a 96 camaro and only wants 50 bucks for it. (history: was having probs, replaced with new opti spark, and still had problems - doesn't want to put old one back on)

Worth the risk that I can get some distance out of his used one If and When mine goes?

Do these opti spark units "go"?

Thanks
Rain

I'm pretty sure that the Camaro opti is different from the one on the vettes. They do go if you get them wet but in your case the 95-96 have been redesigned with a vent to keep moisture out. Iv'e seen and heard them last to 70k but heard people change them then also.
