Which one did you go with ? Red? yellow? which size. I was hoping their site would have a thing where I plug in the year and model car and viole it would tell me which one to buy.

They want me to measure the space, I am hoping one of you has already done the legwork ;-)

Any other batteries out there you like??

Hey Oceangal, I bought and am very happy with the red top in my '74 coupe. I have to admit though that I don't know if your '82 and my '74 share the same location.

I had spent the money for a red top and ended up with a dead cell after 18 months. Fortunately, the warranty is excellent and it was replaced. I believe they have a 36 month full replacement. The balance of the 36 months is honored with the replacement. The reason I like the gel batteries is because where they are installed on the C3's. Being inside the car, there is the possibility of gas and acid fume accumulation when it is frequently charged. My experience is that this doesn't seem to be a problem with the gel types vice the liquid electrolyte ones. Also, you don't have to worry about spilling any acid on your interior when manipulating them in and out. The one thing for sure is that you need to drive the car regularly to maintain the battery in good condition or use a float charger (battery tender) or yours will end up like mine did. I will try to remember to go look at mine and let you know which size I have. I would think the '81 and '82 would take the same one.

the red tops are a very good battery for basically any car on the road today, we put one in my dads 06 and we also have them in the boat... up till next week they are giving a $25.00 rebote on them so if you are gonna buy one do it this week

also NEVER buy a duralast battery.... i was in a pinch 2 years back and had to get a battery on the fly for my wifes mustang... its been replaced 3 times so far and this one is starting to crank slow... and i got the better grade of battery
