Is there any way to find out what options were installed on my '78' ?
Can't find RPO tag anywhere. Specificaly, what kind of radio came in the car when it was new. I have a Delco owners manual for an:
am fm mono/ am fm stereo/ am fm stereo tape with CB transceiver (covers all 3) but don't know wich one.
Thanks for any help you can give!
Gary.

I think you would need the build sheet (top of gastank?) for your 'vette to know what options came with it, otherwise it is just guesswork.

C.A.C. Rules!

Did some snooping around C.A.C. & found a G.M. phone # to call to get a
restoration kit, directly from G.M.
The rep. i talked to said the kit includes: engine & driveline specs., optional equipment, options as installed at factory, color codes, interior dimensions &
more stuff that i forgot already.
All i needed was the model year & V.I.N.
He said i would recieve it in 4 to 5 week's.
I"ll let you know when i get it!

This package will not tell you specifically what was installed on your car. There is a company that can supply a copy of the sales invoice (I think) for '77 and up Corvettes. Details are in the archives if you search.

You will need your Dealer Invoice or your build sheet..

I got my Invoice from GM before they turned this over to a company and are now charging $50 (last i heard of it). But the info is cool... options on YOUR car, sales price to the Dealer etc etc..
Check this thread.. I think the last reply has the current info in it..

Hope this helps..

Just bought a '82'. Going thru the car, I discovered in the right door pocket-all fold up- the Dealer Copy, showing all the std. and options list. It came to $21,042.07. Base-$18,290.07

Guess i was misinformed, or misunderstood when i ordered my restoration kit.
Thanks for the valuable info. ! Gary.

Important Info.

In order to get a dealer invoice for your Corvette, all request's must be submitted in writing to: support@gmmediaarchive.com

Same people, same service, different location.
Gary.

i have the form that needs to be faxed to the gm authorized provider to get the dealer invoice. i posted a link to it here a long time ago. you might be able to do a search and find it. perhaps by my member screenname. if you want it, send me an email with a return email address to attach it to. my email: srs244@gmail.com

i ordered the gm restoration "kit" from them and found that they provided pretty good turn around. i got all the stuff in about 10 days. good stuff, but not going to provide any info on a particular vehicle.

the dealer invoice copy (if they can provide it) will show all the original dealer order info including all options and the dealer cost plus the "retail" cost. just my opinion, but i felt it was a pretty good $50.00 investment for my car.

please let me know if i can help out anyone.
