Can anyone explain to me the origin of the term "Midyear"? :confused

Also, I know this refers to C2s ('63-'67), but does the term include any other generations?

No, this isn't critical, just one of those nagging questions!

Thanks!!!

MARK,

IMHO, it refers to the middle years of the 1960s...........63-67.

:)

As best as I can remember, the term Mid-Year began being used in the 70's to designate the "middle years" of all the generations of Corvette design. The solid axle, (now C1's) the Mid-Years, (C2's) and the current generation (Sharks or C3s) was all that was around at the time the Mid-Year term began. The term still hangs on for some of us "old mid-year timers".

Thats the way I always thought. It makes perfect sense. Non of the other stuff makes sense to me. Sounds like a lot of guessing.
