Original 1977 transmission options ?

A couple of months ago I bought a 1977 L48 four speed. Were all 4 speeds the M21 close ratio? The CAC Model Center information on 77s indicates:

49,213 Total 77s made
41,231 Turbo hydra-Matic automatics
2,060 4 speed close ratio Manual transmissions (M21)
______
5,922 left from above numbers?

I didn't see any other transmission obtions but in the 77 performance section there's data for a three speed automatic? Was there a M21 close ratio and a "regular" four speed or were the remaining 5922 cars three speed?

Just curious.

The 5,922 cars noted were equipped with the standard-equipment wide-ratio 4-speed transmission, which you got if you didn't specify an optional transmission. 1969 was the last year of the 3-speed manual.
