Thanks, JohnZ..you always come through with the right stuff.
No problems, Barry, this is the fun part. I'm just gonna make it as factory correct as I can. With Tony to guide me and the great guys in this forum, it'll be like discovering the 67 all over again. I can do some of the stuff Tony wants to do for a lot less bucks, but I'm gonna leave the technical stuff to him. Like finding the correct TI and installing it and making sure all the bolts and stuff are right. If I ever plan on top flight, I'll have to replace the left side front panel, cause it appears it had an accident there and the replacement piece they used for the turn signal panel was a generic 63 - 67 and it has the bolt hole bump for the early grill mounting on the right side. The really great news is that it is an original Rally red BB a/c coupe and all of the important numbers match. Why they converted it to a points distributor and dumped the TI is a mystery, but I will make it right! Let the adventure begin.
Also, I'm debating on side pipes. When they put in the stainless exhaust, they welded the joints together. It may have made it vapor tight, but if I ever want to remove some parts, I'll have to cut it. Debating this move cause it would also mean replacing the rear valence and matching the paint, which Tony and Keith think had a clear coat mixed in. More updates as I progress.
