overdrive for 4speed 78 model

does anybody know if there is such a thing as an electric overdrive bolt on for a super t 10 borg warner i have in my 78 vette.
any help would be appreciated ernie.

I believe Gear Vendor's makes one. They do, at least, for the Muncie, but it costs about the same as a complete overdrive tranny (about $2500).

Ern, In case you're not aware, another option would be Keisler Automotive. They modify a Tremec (5-speed) overdrive transmission to bolt into our C3's. Charles

Gear Vendors does make a unit for your needs. it runs $2300 US with everything. if you wait until June, they are releasing a kit that automatically down-shifts the overdrive when you shift gears. this eliminates the need to electronically down shift when up shifting, more user friendly. Brian

I wish there were a more reasonably priced option available. I would like to upgade both my cars, but way too expensive. For myself it only makes sense to make that investment if the tranny is gone anyway, then the extra $$$ wouldn't hurt so bad.

thanks for the advice. have emailed gearvendors for some info, alas this gear is not readily accessed down under.the reason for the bolt on is my 78 is original silver anniv/
with 48000 miles on the clock and i want to be able to unbolt any changes i make to her. any other thoughts gratefully acknowleded, regards ernie.
