I have a 2003 Z06 that allways ran at 190 degrees now it started to run198 - 210
i checked to see if the fans were coming on and they did not turn on at 200 until i turned on the A.C. with the stock 192 thermostat when should the fan(s) come on? i was thinking of puting in a 170 degree stat and wondering if it would cause any problems like with the computer?
thanks for any info you can supply

I just got my car but it seems to jump up to 220 in traffic and then get back around 190ish once I am cruising....I wouldn't worry too much, sounds like mine is running a little warmer than yours. Someone else with more experience will chime in soon! Take it easy.....

Hi there,
Fans are on at 228 unless you turn the AC on.
220 in city driving is normal and should not be confused.
You are normal.

Check in front of your condensor. You might have picked up a plastic bag or some other debris from the road.

The C5 sucks up any & everything on the road, leaves, plastic bags..small children, etc. Clean the radiator then install some screening to keep the road crap out.
