I have a 1998 Vette with 80000 miles and the code P0357(ignition control #7 circuit) comes up now and then and I reset and it is good for a time. I decided to change the plugs and wires and still have the same problem. I changed the coil for cylinder 7 with cylinder 5 and the same code came up P0357. Please help, thanks.

Hi there,

I would most certainly be looking at that wiring harness very closely.

The key with this code is that the PCM SEES that electrically something is not right.

You have already swapped the coil so you KNOW its ok.

Now, that being said, you need to look at the harness carefully, especially where it turns around the back of the fuel rail on the drivers side.

Allthebest, c4c5

Fixed ?

Thanks for your help. I did get the same advice from another member and we look at the wires harness . We did not see any breaks in the insulation but we moved the wires to give clearance around bracket and we also insulated the wire bundle from the post. I think that it corrected the problem but the jury is still out. Thanks again for both advices
