Well it happened. I had my car hit 2 years ago and the fiberglass was screwed. I had it fixed once. The paint ended up not matching, and you could see the repair marks in the glass. I did a total repaint a couple of months ago and pictures from start to finish. All the flaws were repaired and he gave me pictures and step-by-step pictures of the bodywork being done. It was sanded, reglassed and this guy was pretty good and knowledgeable about fiberglass. When I got it back it looked like a gem. Now there are slight signs of marks in the body from the original repairs. They seem to have "settled" or something. It doesn't look too bad and I can live with it, but it seems like it is unfixable for the most part. I don't know if it can ever totally be fixed. Oh well.

the paint hardened,it will shrink quite a bit over a few months.it makes the dust specs seem smaller, but it can reveal a bit too. i wouldnt worry until i saw a crack forming.

There is no reason why the repair has to show. Take it back to the painter and have him redo it. These cars have been repaired for over 50 years and the good ones never show the damage.

The painter has to know how to work with fiberglass repairs. If he redid the shoddy repairs correctly you should never know it was repaired. He obviously worked hard to get it right but close is only good in horseshoes. You paid to get it repainted and repaired properly. Get what you paid for.
