does anyone know of any good and affordable painters in Colorado? I have been asking around Colorado Springs here locally, and getting nothing but "at least $5000". Now that sounds like a lot of money for a paint job requiring no body work, and no disassembly. I will bring the car stripped of all trim, handles, bumpers, lights, interior, glass, etc. It needs to be sanded, masked, and painted. If I can't find anyone here to paint it, I might have to trailer it to California. I have plenty of connections there that can paint it for around $2000.00, and it will be show quality.

Dear Goertz,

I live in Southern CA and I too am in need of a show quality paint job on my 1972 454 4-speed original Corvette. As it appears that you have some paint job contacts here in CA, I was hoping you might give me some leads.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks.

I dont want to call bs but there is no way you will get show quality for 2k.Also you say no disassembly, you must be removing doors headlight assemblys, hood and bumpers also right.Plus alot of people want to strip the old paint because of the thickness of it being too much which leads to cracking .And if there is an adhesion problem the new paint will come off with it.

I've had 3 trucks featured in Truckin magazine over the last few years, I have painters that can get it done for $2k. I would just rather spend a little more here, and not have to take the car to California. no adhesion problems with the present paint, so it should be able to be painted over. I will remove all lights, bumpers, handles, locks, trim, glass, interior etc. That will save the painters lots of time. there is no body work needed on this car at all, so it's literally, just sand, mask, and paint.
