Does anyone else get tired of that ugly black center? Has anyone ever had any luck painting the center to a silver color?

86 had silver...If you are going to do yours ...that black paint is a bear to get off...normal strippers still take forever.

yb.dll

use acetone to get the clearcoat off...then stripper will work on the paint...

see the other thread http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16698 about how to get the paint off easily.... same product works

I actually prefer the black centers, thus my problem is repainting them to look good. The heat is brutal on most paints!

:w

PS which wheels do you have? Those made by Modern have a slight raised rim around painted center.... the Enkei are smooth like on 86 and later models. Not really important, just curious :)

Heh why paint. Just buy mine. I have extra set just like Jonm's picture. With tires as well. I would say tires are in fair condition. I left them on just to show that the rims hold air. Center caps are perfect.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

First $375 plus shipping can have them.
