I have seen threads about this, though they are usually in the C4 forums. Can C3 calipers be painted, too?

I'm assuming the C4 calipers are painted because they are visible with the rims...I do not know if my calipers would be visible with my stock rims. Should I even bother painting them?
I would use a glossy black to paint them. (because I have it)

My first reaction was: I wouldnt bother, but i do have the 82CE wheels on them. You cant tell there are brakes behind them, much less calipers.. I've also always liked the painted calipers on the C4 & 5's, espcially the red ones, but i dont know if our car's wheels let's enough 'shine' through. Maybe put a cover of something on them (like a red piece of paper) and see if you can tell through the wheels.

I just walked out and looked at mine , I would say don't bother unless it makes you feel better . If in the future you bleed the brakes for any reason and get fluid on them the paint is coming off in spots and it will look worse than it does now ... Just my .02 1/2

I'd have used 500* engine spray paint...but the decision was taken away from me. When I visited 78 today, two were already installed.
So, no painting.

I'm glad I'm not missing anything since several have posted that you really cannot see them through the rims anyways...

ps, I'll be picking 78 up tomorrow when Kenny gets off work. Yippee! I'll be able to stop!
