Park Brake ?'s

I am in the process of putting the parking brake console back together and it seems that I may be missing a part. As the console was not attached to the car when I bought it, I have no reference to go by. The part I may be missing is the "Front Bezel". It is pictured on page 237 of the latest Corvette America catalog, listed as item "B" under 1968-1976 Park Brake Console Components. Exactly where does it attach and what does it do? Any help would be appreciated.
