Hey yall, the PO took out the rear parking brake assembley for some odd reason so i'm trying to put that back together. I saw on Zip that theres an "anchor" so my question is where does that go? Everything else is pretty obvious to me. (Yes i'll get the AIM eventually haha) ;help :w

Common to find them missing, they didn't work all that well and usually rusted up. You have to check to see if the anchor pins are in place behind the plate. If you're lucky they are, if someone cut them then you won't get the one in without breaking done the spindle and then you'll wreck the bearings and be in for a complete rebuild.

Here is what you have in there. This one has SS shoes so they blend in here in this picture.

so would the anchor be for the top middle bolt? I'm removing the whole rear-end anyways to do a rebuild/clean up so the bearings arnt an issue for me. probably need to be done anyways. i'll be sure to take lots of pics. Maybe a rear-end removal how-to?
