The time has come for me to part with my 81. For some time now I have been guilty of lusting at the 73-75 model Corvettes with a 4 speed and a big block, or at least a suped up small block. My wife even caught me with a redhead (I mean, red car-73 model) the other day at a show and boy did I get a tongue lashing.

Adding to the mix, last week my baby girl announced she was getting married and now I am faced with coughing up in excess of $20k for a wedding.
The obvious move here is to sell the 81 to pay for the wedding while I search for the next project (73-75 model) and start over again.

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED, i have the car listed on eBay- item # 4607964306. The reserve is set at $15,500 (corrected 1-29-06) but I am willing to entertain any seriuos offers from the good folks on this site who have held my hand the entire rebuild time. I could not have done the rebuild in quality and time if it had not been for this site and the good people that helped me.
I can be reached at (225) 647-8153 if anyone wants to talk about the sale of the car. SOMEONE will end up with a fine ride at a bargain price.
Soobingly, thanks to all again. Mike Jeansonne-Gonzales La.

sorry to hear about the vette...:cry
but the family MUST come first!!!!
good luck selling it and good luck finding another!!!!

The car looks smoking! You did a great job. Send your daughter to a justice of the peace and have a simple ceremony and keep the vette! Seriously i wish you and your family all the luck in the world, and having to young girls myself, I hope she found a decent man

thanks

Thanks Randy, I appreciate the kind words.
I plan to offer the new couple a "cash option" in leau of a traditional wedding, but you know how the ladies can get about that special day. I am not optimistic that we can afford a wedding and keep the car, but stranger things have happened in my household before.
I reduced the reserve and buy it now prices this am in hopes of a quick sale, thinking if its quick, it may be painless.
Good day. mike j.
