Parts on CD

I am currently in the midst of restoring my 73' I am using the Haynes manual. I am having a hard time finding part numbers etc. I recently found a CD available that allows you to look up parts on your computer. Has anyone used this material for restos? Here is an auction for the CD. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

It looks to be just an electronic copy of the Haynes Manual. Unless you have a computer in the garage it would be hard to use.

Suggest trying the AIM (assembly instruction manual) as it list most parts and their original production part numbers.

Get the GM Service Manual for your year. Also get the A.I.M. for your year. The generic manuals can lead you down the wrong path.

The parts manual on microfiche is available as pdf files. GM restoration parts recently released a CD listing GM parts currently available for 1952-2003. Also contains photos and lots of information. The Museum should have them. I purchased mine through a Chevy dealer.

I should probably leave this up to a mod, but i'm feeling saucy so I'll field this one. :)

please dont cross post, someone will get to it eventually
