Help! Passenger headlight motor continues to run after it shuts

I found this very odd. If I get in the car and drive without using the headlights, there's no noise and nothing unusual. If I do open the headlights, it works fine until I close them in which case the motor for the passenger side light continues to run and will continue to run until I either turn the headlights back on or shut off the car. Any ideas anyone? I tried to find an answer to this prior to posting, but had no luck.

I have a similar problem; everything is fine until I turn the lights off and they close. Then the passenger side only continues buzzing for ~5 seconds, then stops. I haven't found a lot about it, but I did find this post:

Check limit switches or grease the gear bushings.

The headlight control module monitors the current it provides to the motors and shuts off each motor based on current draw and not some limit switch. I suspect the control module is bad. Pull your DIC codes and see what it says if anything.
