Is there any way to move the passenger seat back a couple inches? It appears that there is room behind the seat when it's all the back back. If not is there any reason why the passenger seat does not go back as far as the drivers seat.

Bill,
You didn't mention this in your post- but is your car equipped with dual power seats? If not, I may be stating the obvious, but the manual passenger seat position level is located under the front of the passenger seat. (My Z06 only has a power driver's seat.) You can adjust the manual seat control for passengers by gently pulling up on the level, and pushing back with the "up" position being held during motion on the seat.

A certain amount of experimentation is in order- you will need to find a position where the seat "locks" into a factory pre-determined position.

Unfortunately, if its all the way back already, this won't gain you much. Let's face it, Corvettes have never been noted for an expanse of leg room for the height gifted. Your best option, if you have a tall passenger, is to simply recline the seat, and hope they get comfortable.

The passenger seat is power actuated. It appears to be doing exactly what it's supposed to do. I never sit over there but it's always seemed odd to us why the passenger seat would not go as far back as the drivers. No big deal really. My wife fits in the just fine and never complains about anything related to the vette. After 30 terrific years together I don't see her being replaced by someone "height gifted" but I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks for your response

My 87 is the same way for some reason... Every time I sit over there I can't believe the legroom that is lost from driver, to passenger.

Yeah- I know what you mean. I have been on crutches for the last month. Guess who rides in his Vette... in the passenger seat? Me and the crutches. My foot gets pressed up against the footwell and it sucks.
