The rain is coming down and it's hard to stay on the track. Corvette Racing is in the hunt but there's still 5 hours to go.

4 hours and 45 minutes left and everyone is having a picnic in the pits as the race is 'red flagged' for rain. It's coming down hard at Road Atlanta, too hard to race as the ALMS does not allow for multiple types or rain tires and the 'intermediate' rain tires available are not good enough the the level of rain there.

#3 Corvette spun off just before the red flag and damaged the under body or exhaust. Since the red flag is out, they can't work on it.

Gotta a couple of hours of pretty hard rain. FLASH FLOOD WARNING for metro ATL and watches for surrounding.... Infeild wont be much fun this evening!

Big let down as the race never restarted once the rain started. About 5 hours of racing and then 5 hours waiting for the ALMS to call the race. So, everyone's strategy went out the window and down the drain with the rain.

That's the way it goes these days - even for racing series that race in the 'rain' - so long as it's not too much rain. Better to be safe.

sorry about your day! it really has been rainey here, I think that was ROAD ATLANTA not AMS....
