Heres a picture of my project that I'm doing to my engine. I'm far from done and I know it's not the best, but I'm trying. Any ideas on what more I can do?

i think the McDonald's cup looks a little cheezy, but other than that... :L

but seriously, thats pretty cool. what kind of paint did you use? speical heat resistant enging stuff i suppose. ive been thinking about looking into powder coating my intake cover. anyone know pros/cons of this method?

Man, and I thought that the Mc Donalds cup added a little something special, a finishing touch to the engine!!:L
I used the 500* Duli color band engine paint Chevy orange.
You can powder coat, but personaly the heat paint will last long enough, a buddy of mine painted his intake and runners a few years ago, and they look the just the same as it did when he first painted it. The powder coating is expensive to, but of course if theres a certain look that your going for then go for it!!

I like the way you painted the a/c compressor and air pump, etc. black.

I am not a fan of straight Chevy Orange, but I have to say that I really like the look of that color on your engine.

Now you need some hose covers and or replacement "cool flex" hoses for the exposed ones.

So the cup....

Is an external air scoop to keep the ecm cooler;LOL

I like it!..Keep cleaning...

Lookin' good. Did you polish all the a/c lines and the alt. bracket?
What did you use? Can't do much here yet. (see my thread..It's under there.Tired of snow!! ) Now dealing with the melting flood. Uncle sent e-mail joking it's low of 69 there the other day :cry
Of all things there..my girlfreind misses the damn swap meet at the stadium. :duh

The A/C lines are already smooth, you just have to hit it with some polish and it'll brighten right up!! The bracket I did my self. The polish that I use is the new "Mothers Billet Aluminum Polish" works real good!!

HUh?!? out of everything that our islands has to offer....the swap meet?!?

You need to move back home......which brings me to my question, why are you there anyway?

That's a good idea...ah..what are hose covers, and cool flex hoses? are thoose the braided hoses? And where can I pick them up at? Mahalo (Thank you)

Go to www.coolflex.com

You can get these from any of the major go fast parts places like Summit Racing, Jeggs, etc.

They are awesome. I have this on my 69, and I really really like it!
