my '81 has two tone pin striping tape. the passenger door was hit slightly and about 2 inches of the tape was scraped and it looks kinda bad. does anyone know of a supplier or a place that i can get the exact color tape? i'd like to stay as original as i can. thanks for any help.....

Hi mga,

Have you tried any of the larger vette suppliers? (catalog venders) Like MidAmerica, Ecklers and Corvette Central?
You could try checking the Portal that is here at CAC, you might find it helpful during your search.

My own 78SA was recently repainted and the entire two tone paint scheme was redone using just paint, no color tape kits, and I really like the look!

No, it is not original, but I think it looks, feels and will last better, as the entire job is smooth, with no edges between the different colors. The clear coat went over all so I don't have to worry about the stripes coming loose. I will never worry about resale value for this vette.
That is something whoever inherits it will have to worry about! ;)

hello 78SilvAnniv...

i didn't know you got your vette repainted

Misleading perhaps...

By recently, I mean within the last few years. She was actually painted just before we moved to Georgia, so just over 2 years ago.
