I am still having problems with my PKE system. I woke up one morning and it was fine and when I arrived at work 30 minutes later it quit. I have tried new batteries, along with trying to reprogram it as instructed by the owner's manual but nothing works. My "Passive Keyless Entry" light comes on and stays on until I put the key back into the ignition and pull it out then it will go off. I know others have had problems with this system but was wondering if anyone can help. At this point if someone could tell me how the keep the light from coming on that would be good.

Can someone please tell McVette how the keep the light from coming on? :CAC

Do you have another fob? It sounds like the battery connection inside the fob may be intermittent. When it stops working, does the car respond to the buttons on the fob? If it does, this would eliminate the battery connection in the fob as the problem. It seems to me the reciever in the car will either work or not, but the fob, being something that is constantly being jarred arround, could be the culprit. If you don't want to take it to a dealer to sure, I would purchase another fob (if you don't have a second) this way, even if its not the problem you will have a back up. One trip to the dealer would pay for the fob.

My car came with two FOB's so don't believe this is the problem. Looks like I will take it to a dealer soon but before then I was wondering how I could get the "PKE" light from coming on. I know it has a fuse but when I removed it the light did not go out. Wonder why?

I assume you removed fuse #26. There is another fuse, # 40, for the radio, radio control head, radio receiver & PKE Module. Don't know if you would want to pull that, but it may put the light out? :confused
