A little trivia for you - I'm sure most of you are aware that Paul L. Newman (the blue eyed actor of some fame) also drove race cars and you may know that he was a "factory Nissan" driver for several years in 280 and 300 ZX cars. After scaling back his race driving duties to just the SCCA regional stuff as he got over 70 years old, PLN drove until he was 82 years old. The last 2 years he campaigned a tube frame chassis C5 bodied race car in the SCCA GT1 class. The last time he drove that GT1 Corvette was at Lime Rock and he won the race.
So, while PLN was known for his racing involvement with Nissan and Porsche (and a few really good films), he drove lots of other cars along the way with the last being a GT1 Corvette.
