Hi Everyone,

I have followed each post that I have seen regarding polishing the wheels on a 1988 Corvette. My wheels looked really bad and the clear coat really needed to come off and the wheels polished and straightened out where they (two) had hit a curb sometime in the past.

My boss heard me talking about finding someone to polish them and offered to take care of it for me since I completed a difficult project recently. Needless to say, I took him up on it.

I found a guy locally who stripped, straightened, polished, and balanced my wheels (and he balanced them using the inside weights so you can't see the balancers). This includes taking the wheels off of the car and the tires off of the wheels and re-mounting them (he rotated them while he was at it. I asked him not to clear coat them and he did not . He just recommended that I wax them freaquently.

The wheels are absolutely beautiful and the car has never been so smooth.

He did this for $80 per wheel! He is familiar with these wheels because people often buy them off of Ebay and send them to him to repair.

Wow, they are beautiful. If I could find my digital camera I'd post photos.
