If anybody’s interested…
An ex-boss of mine has a 64 convertible that I think he's about ready to finally let go. It's been in his garage mostly since I've known him, about 11 years now. It needs a paint job, no body damage or anything like that I don't think, he just started on a looooong time ago and never finished it. From what I remember he has most (if not all) ORIGINAL GM interior parts/accessories. As far as I know it is driveable...but honestly it's been several years since I've seen it so I don't remember exactly what state of disassembly it's in. I don't believe the engine is original (I do think it’s a basically stock 327?), but I know he has a set of rebuilt heads for it (my father in-law rebuilt them…I think they're the 461 heads). They needed a rocker stud replaced and hardened seats. As far as I know they're still in the plastic bags from being rebuilt (several years ago).
I was talking to him a few days ago and asked about the cars (he has a low-mileage ’84 also), I think he’s finally ready to sell ‘em off (at least the ’64). I asked him how much for the ’64 and he mumbled off 20K (with an “uncertain” tone)…I think he’ll let it go for less than that. I couldn’t really debate the price as I really have no idea what that year is worth. I do know that this car needs a good home, I’ve been bugging him for 11 years now to either finish the thing or sell it.
