One of the latest little projects was trying to get my power antenna to go down. I researched some antenna topics here on the forum and found out how to power the antenna manually. One of the previous owners cut the wires at the motor. After wiring the power to white and ground to green, the motor started turning but the antenna still wouldnt go down, so I reversed it to see if the mast would move at all. The antenna seemed like it was seized in the up position. After 10 minutes of scratching my head and nearly cutting it off all together, my 10 year old daughter managed to get it unstuck and down it went!

Now that the hard part is over and the mast is completely down. Is there a plug or something that I can use to cover up the bezel? I dont listen to the radio so I dont need the antenna to work.
Any advise would be great!

Can you provide more info as to where / what "Bezel" you need to cover and why since the antenna when in down position should present a close button look and unless your antenna staff has malfuntion and retracked below it's normal down position resulting in a hole appearance in the antenna mounting ring. I know of a product called a "Goof" plug, which is normally used to cover / plug a un-wanted hole or one in-correctly placed. I have seen chrome plated ones or black ones. Industrial Catalogs like "McMaster-Carr" carry (Snap-In Steel Hole Plugs), link: McMaster-Carr.
These are typically used to fill a simple hole, may not work if antenna is still in-place.
Hope this helps!
