Anyone have any experience in converting a non-power brake car to power brakes?
Is it as simple as getting a power booster and a master cylinder and bloting them on?

I have not done this on a Corvette, but I have converted from power to manual brakes on other GM cars. Typically the proportioning valve is also different, as are the brake pedal and the rod between the pedal and the master cylinder.

When I make such a conversion I try to acquire all these parts from one car and move them to the other.

Of course you will also need a source of vacuum from the intake manifold for the power brakes.

It's not as easy as it first sounds. Just like L48, I have done it in the past with a chevelle, but there are differences and you need the vacuum source. I also have a manual system that I was thinking of converting to power. First, get all that old brake fluid out of your system. Get some new quality brake fluid and drain all that other 30 year old crap out of there. Do a real good bleed job, and you might find - like I did that the manual's aren't too bad. At least I can live with them for a while now. I'm also looking at a hydro boost instead of power assist. There are some old posts on it that are interesting.
