Power Electric Seats

My 96, LT4 came austere from Mother Chevrolet, cheep radio, manual heater and drive (pilot) power electric seat only. I've installed the Bose Gold plug and play CD/cassette radio at $500 and some change from Dr. Radio, as I recall. Works great as I added some better grade speakers about the same time too and it is a nice addition.


Recently I noticed on e-bay the controls as well as the power electric seat base for the right hand (copilot) side. So I went after them, as I like power electric seats. This weekend I installed the right side system. Biggest disappointment is the factory wiring loom does not include a plug for the power for the second switch! I have some electrical skills so I was able to tap the left side to power up the right side.



So now my center console has a L/H and a R/H seat adjustment. The question is this center console is a three-device fixture with the center position reserved for ride control or a blank. What do some of you have in terms of options on this center console? I look at other C4's on E-bay and see various features at on the center console. Do any of you have power R/H and L/H seats without the ride control? What did Chevrolet put in the center?



I can make a cover to seal the center opening but will probably search the parts book for the right part.

Check out the 96 Corvettes on ebay...and you will see that if there is no Selective Ride Control option, the center was just blank.

Also, on your seat wiring. Did you get the set of three relays that are under the driver's seat? This is what switches power between the two seats.
