I just bought a 1982 corvette and have found that the power seat switch has been discontiued. I would like to know what others are doing about this problem? Also, I would like to install true dual exhaust but not sure if I can use an early crossmember or should make one and if people are running the exhaust on one side or both? Any advice would be great. Thanks, Kyle

Kyle, I bought my p/s switch off E-Bay. Just run a search and you'll find it. As for the true duals, if you don't need the cat it's a piece of cake. Just have both exhaust pipes run down the passenger side and out to the back. It's a lot less complicated than welding in a new center brace. Mine have been like that for 4 yrs. and I've had no problems.

Good luck

Dave

If I remember correctly, the 1982's x-member is specific for the 700R4 transmission and is unique to 1982 models only.

I do think Bow-Tie Overdrives carries an x-member that will fit your 1982. It is a tubular piece and accommodates duals.

Or, you could always go with side pipes and not mess with the x-member at all...

Thanks guys for the tip. Found the switch on ebay works great! Kyle
