I picked up a set of sports seats from a 1990 that are both 6-way power to replace the wacked sports seats in my 1985.

The tracks bolted right in, the sports seat features connect right up, but ....

What to do for the 6-way switch. The switches that came with the 90's seats are way too big to put anywhere on the consol. Even if I take them out of their holder. Can't find a suitable place for them at all.

Will I have to find the correct switch for an 85?

Will one of these switches mount on the passenger side too?

Anu other solutions?
Thanks in advance ... Ron ...:confused

You will need either the correct wiring harness and switches or custom make them. When I did mine I just used the 85 assembly bolted the seats to the original tracks.

It'll be quite a job to wire them into a custom harness but it can be done given time. my 85 has three switches for the drivers seat. my passanger side has none as it's manual.

Hey you should be able to use the 85-89 dual switch set.

I think I still have the set left from my conversion. if interested i will look for it for you.

G'day Jeff ...... been looking at single switches on E-bay, bunch of them around, haven't seen a dual switch though.

Do you toggle for left/right seats then adjust the 6-way?

Where does this dual switch go? Not much room on my console, the single switches go into the well on the console where the power mirror switch is.

Would appreciate a pic if possible and I sure am interested!!!!

For the 6way adjustments there is a seperate set of switches for each seat. so if you have a driverside powered seat then the Passenger will have the same controls on the pass side. I will try to geta picture this weekend

do the '90 seats sit lower and deeper giving you more leg room?
I don't think so, but the side support is different
