Does anyone know of a good way to stop power steering
fluid leaks? Will teflon tape work? Would welcome
any recommendations
thanks

Power steering hoses use SAE inverted flare fittings with machine threads, which seal at the flare, not at the threads, just like brake and fuel lines. If the flare surfaces on the tube seat in the female fitting and on the flare on the pipe aren't pitted, damaged, or distorted, they shouldn't leak.

John,
this is all new hoses etc. everything looks good , does not
pour out just steady drip have retightned several times.
still leaks. I'll try again
thanks

Take a good close look at the flares. Even though they are new there might be a crack or distortion where the metal is folded over. Like John said, a good seat and a good flare won't leak.
