Power steering pully

Run down to your favorite auto parts store and see if they can rent a pulley puller. It bolts on the front of the pulley and presses the shaft out.

If it's still in the car, leave the belt tensioned to hold the pulley and loosen the nut - then remove the belt and the pulley will come right off. If the pump is out of the car, use an old fan belt looped around the pulley (like a strap wrench) to hold the pulley still while you loosen the nut. In either case, the pulley will come right off after the nut is removed; if the pulley has a nut retaining it, it isn't pressed on the pump shaft.

Mine diden't have a nut it was pressed on and a pluller could not even get it off had to replace the hole asb.

Could only get it off by putting the pully in vise protected with wood. But it was past 8pm last night (watching Big Daddy Gartlis :BOW on Wind Tunnel) in the garage when I realized the Rebuilt pump from Corvette Central needed a Woodruf Key:r :r
Yea I guess my fault but WhyTF don't they put the F***** piece on the pump :bash . I mean it only cost me .31 cents with tax and it wouldn't get me ****ed off at CC. This means I won't finish what I have to do until Friday night instead of tonight so the alignment gets pushed to next week. Heading to The Glen for the SVRA event in 21 days:Steer
