Hi, new member here, posted in the new guy area and came straight here with a question.

I replaced my belt on my new to me '91 Convertible and notices a "u" shaped clip that is around one of the hoses from the reservoir, about 2 inches long on each side, with one loop coils on either side and hooked on both of the arms. Obviously designed to keep the large hose away from the rotating serpentine components, it's loose and dangling.

I have the car in the air enough to get underneath and for the life of me, after a couple of hours at it, cannot figure out what it hooks to/on or what the orientation is, I'm stumped and going nuts. I've ordered a service manual which hasn't arrived yet, and would like to get things back together as soon as possible.

Any of you folks have an idea what the heck I'm talking about and where it hooks to? I can almost stretch it to the stabilizer bar, but it's too big in diameter for the hooked/curled ends to wrap around.

Thanks, and y'all have a great holiday weekend! Larry

Wow, perfect! It's part 28 in that illustration. I hope that's from the FSM, I'm anxious to get my copy. I'm surprised it simply goes over the crossmember as shown, but...that's why I'm not a GM engineer.

Thanks to you sir, what a great site. :beer:happyanim:
