Power steering tight. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1984 corvette with only 33,000 miles and the steering

is tight. really tight when making right hand turns! Last resort is

putting in a new rack. Any help from anyone on a cheaper and

easier method would be appreciated.

Hate to tell you this but it's probably the rack, as you guessed. Most C4 owners will attest to the "morning sickness" as well as other ills that befall the early C4 steering units. Good luck, others will add their opinions soon I'm sure.

Ken's right on, that's "morning sickness". You need a new rack. If you do it yourself go ahead and get a rebuild kit for the PS pump, it's easy to do and cheap insurance for your new rack.
