Replaced the motor on the driver side of my Z28.

What a greasy, messy pain in the neck. But its done.

Anyways, I have come up with a tip when taking the motors off the power window regulators. This would apply to C3+ Vettes too.

In this case, my windows were stuck in the down most position, so taking the window out according the the manual was out of the question. I ended up removing all of the pieces out and leaving the window in the door. Its really a two man job.

Use the power switch to align the access holes. Then insert a deep well socket into the gap. Run a zip strip through the socket and then around the side of the regulator.

Now, when the motor is removed you don't have to worry about the tension spring moving or popping out.
