I'm looking to help a friend - he has a '94 LT1 with a bad driver's side motor that operates his power window. Does anyone have a working one to sell? Is there a reputable place to buy one? And is it difficult to do yourself? Thanks.

Window motor

I recently purchased a rebuilt motor on Ebay for a very fair price. I have not yet installed it. I'll let you know how difficult it is when I do.

I changed my bad passenger side motor a while ago. Real PITA. If I had to do it again I'd buy a complete regulator assembly. Problem is that the motor is held in place by 3 rivets, I burned up a Dremel grinding them off and then put elevator bolts in their place. The motor is buried at the bottom of the door and there's no room to get at it. Works fine now, but took 6 hours. If you don't go with the regulator assembly at least remove the old one and work on it on a bench. BTW, I only paid 30 bucks on Ebay for my motor but since then have seen whole regulators for about $75.
