In my search for a 62, any thoughts on price difference for a powerglide vs a 4 speed. Old info was that they were less desirable , has this changed. Does same hold true for 3 speed? Jim

Given 2 identicle cars in equal condition the 4 speed car will be more desirable and higher priced. Same for other performance options like a 340 horse or a FI. However a nice PG car can be worth more than an avarage 4 speed car. Options and condition will play a big part.

Personally I think a 300 horse powerglide with power windows and Wonderbar radio would be a sweet ride. If you want a PG car get one. Lots of older Vette nuts are getting tired of shifting so there will always be a market for it.

Steve,

Is your '67 a PG? Pretty rare if it is. Only 392 built.

BTW Nice web site. You need to get up some '67 pictures though. :D I registered there too. Looks like a good place to set up my '69 stepside (Project C 10-R) site.

You hit pay dirt Steve. Very nice!!

Ive been reading your posts on powerglides and Iam wondering how hard it would be to exchange out a four speed for the powerglide, and make it look original. Iam looking at a midyear now and I want to add vintage air and it would be sweet to have an automatic.
