I have rusted brake lines going into the electronic brake module. I
see that Ecklers, Mid America and others sell them for C3 and before
but nobody seems to sell them for C4 and later.

Does anyone know where I can find pre-formed brake lines for a 1990 ?
('im looking for a full set preferably stainless)

My guess is you'll have to make them yourself or buy them from GM.

A couple of years ago I bought tools from Eastwood Co. to bend brake lines so, now, I usually make "pre-formed lines" myself.

Why not use those "braided SS/Teflon" lines.
Shouldn't have to then be concerned about bending tubes.

Thanks everyone for the response. I may have to look into the braided SS/Teflon lines so as to avoid having to spend hours measuring/bending tubing.

That's the route that I would go. Measuring and bending is just a PITA.

What's the cost like for braided SS/teflon lines?

Try Classic Tube, Lancaster NY (classictube.com) or Inline Tube, Shelby MI (inlinetube.com). These people make pre-bent brake lines for a variety of cars, and they do custom bending by copying old brake lines.

Wow that rocks. Inlinetube only goes to 1982, whereas Classic Tube brake lines goes all the way to 1994 - the price difference of $40 for a full set of stainless is well worth the extra $40.

To replace hard lines with braided stainless steel covered teflon brake hoses will cost a tone.

You can buy the bending tools and staight sections of brake pipe for much less money.

Since I have replaced rusted brake lines before (1994 F-350 snowplow; 1993 Crown Vic; 1994 Mercury Marquis) I would tell you that it's a real PITA. You have to be willling to spend an entire afternoon fitting, bending & installing. It really breaks down to how much your time is worth. For my time, it's worth it to spend an extra $150 for pre-bent stainless lines. If you consider that making the wrong bend that you can't undo and the extra cost associated with that mistake, the cost of pre-bent lines become very cost effective.

look for this ebay member texasvette or something like that he parts them out might be a way to get the right lines your looking for.
