which is the main difference/performance against Hypertech III
it's the cost justify for the results?

One more question, someone has experience with Supercharger ?
They declare power increasup over 500HP?! It's this real and which are the main incovenient

thanks and regards

HI there,
Unless there are major modifications to the engine, Predator is really not going to do much. Neither will any aftermarket programming.
And, if there are updated calibration changes to the stock tuning EEPROM, you cannot update the PCM when needed.
The possibilities of something going wrong are many, and fact that it really will not do much, isnt worth the cost.
As far as supercharging, build the entire engine to support the forced induction, and it will serve you well.

I've had a Predator since they were first available for the C5.

If you have an A4, you will reap more rewards. I gained an honest .2 in the quarter mile simply with the Predator (and I haven't even done a real dyno tune yet).

Most of my gains were from reprogramming shift points (I had previously upgrqded to the 3.42 rear axle ratio). I raised the rev limiter to 6200 and made the WOT shifts occur at 5950 rpm.

Here are my Predator street settings:
shift pressure +7%
shift speed -7%
timing +4% using 92 octane minimum

at the dragstrip I set these values:
shift pressure +25%
shift speed -25%
timing +9% using Sunoco Gold 94 octane

even with the street settings a get a nice little "chirp" from the tires during a WOT 1-2 shift with factory tires. :)

Mike, saw you thread about the street settings on you a/4. was you car stock? 12.9 qtr mile is great for a stock car. Can I safely make these settings in my a/4 and see some performance improvements? Its basically the shift points and timing changes that did it for you right? I am due to get it in the next day or so and I will be reprogramming asap. Any additional information is very appreciated. thanks, ed ramos.
