Price for 1998 Coupe

Hello everyone,

I have an '82 C3 that I love, and I'm thinking about upgrading my DD to a C5. I found a 1998 white coupe with 57,000 miles.

I was able to take a quick look over the car and saw nothing wrong. I plan to go back soon and get a much closer look.

I was just wondering if $17,900 was a good price.
It is actually a tad under KBB, but I was wondering what prices were like lately.
I know that a lot of cars are going for less than they were a year ago, but I wasn't sure what the C5 market was like.

Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

That is average ballpark for private owner sale in my neck of the woods.

Hmmmmmmmmmm? Sounds high. My 2000 black on black 6 speed with 40K just KBB'd at $17,500.

I used "good" as the condition .... it has a few minor stone pings by the nose but no damage and the interior is real good. Polished alu, HUD and handling package .... bout the only thing missing is I only have a single CD changer.

That thing should be "mint" or better ...... as a 98 to command over 17 ... ;squint:

The owner decided not to sell, so I guess it doesn't matter.
