I found a 2002 convertible listed with 4k miles for $36,998. From the ad, it looks to be fully loaded, but you never know until you get there and look at it. However, I wanted to get your opinion on the price. It looks like the blue book value is about $40,000.

Does this price seem high for this vehicle if the mileage is true and everything else checks out? I'm going to stop by and get a VIN number for a carfax report as well. But wanted to see what all of you thought first.

Thanks,
John

Sounds to me like it's a little on the high side for a 2002.

I own an 02 vert, and paid about that amount last year for mine. Of course, I was trading in a vette, so the deal may be different on a no trade deal. If you like the looks, I say buy it! After you buy it...forget what you paid for it, and enjoy life!

Blue book on my 02 coupe with around 21k on it is about $31,500. With 4k miles and being a vert, that's not too far off. Maybe a smidge high, but not much.

I wouldn't expect an 02 to fetch that much either, but I guess the really low mileage comes at quite a premium.

I'd look around to see what verts in the 20k mileage range are going for, and ask yourself which is preferable- saving the 15k miles or saving the several thousand $$$.
